Meridian by AstroDu
Meridian is an AI-assisted career intelligence and talent assessment product built by AstroDu, used by employers to generate assessment reports on candidates or employees. These Terms are specific to Meridian and its business (employer) users; they are distinct from AstroDu's consumer-facing Terms because Meridian's use case — one party generating a report about another person — carries different obligations.
Meridian is operated by Iyanda, trading as AstroDu, based in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. [Registered business name and CAC RC number to be inserted once incorporation is complete.] By creating a Meridian employer account, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent.
Meridian is for employers, recruiters, and organisations assessing candidates or employees. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of your organisation to create an employer account.
Meridian generates career and talent insight using a blend of astrological and psychological-pattern frameworks applied to birth and role data. Meridian's assessments are not a validated psychometric instrument, a substitute for reference checks, or a lawful basis on their own for an employment decision. Meridian is a supplementary insight tool. Employers remain solely responsible for ensuring their use of Meridian in hiring, promotion, or performance decisions complies with applicable Nigerian labour law and does not constitute unlawful discrimination.
When you generate a Meridian report on a candidate or employee, you are providing that person's personal data (typically birth data and role information) to us on their behalf. By doing so, you confirm that:
AstroDu acts as a data processor for the candidate/employee data you submit, and as a data controller for your own employer account data.
Each employer account receives one free full assessment report per device/account — this is a permanent allowance, not a time-limited trial, and does not expire after a fixed number of days. Additional reports beyond the free one are charged at the rate shown at checkout at the time of purchase.
Because the free report has no charge, no refund question arises for it. Paid reports beyond the free allowance are final sale once generated and delivered, on the same basis as AstroDu's consumer readings — exceptions apply only for technical failure, duplicate charge, or demonstrable system error, reported within 48 hours via WhatsApp (+2348125008097).
Reports generated through Meridian are visible only to the employer account that generated them. We do not share candidate/employee assessment data with any other employer, nor use it for any purpose beyond generating and delivering the report you requested. The Meridian assessment framework, scoring methodology, and report format are the intellectual property of Iyanda and AstroDu. Reports you purchase are for your organisation's internal use; you may not resell, redistribute, or use Meridian's framework to build a competing product.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian, AstroDu, Iyanda, and all connected persons are not liable for any employment decision made using a Meridian report, or for any claim brought by a third party (including a candidate or employee) arising from an employer's use of Meridian. Employers using Meridian agree to indemnify AstroDu against claims arising from the employer's own unlawful use of a report.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the courts of Oyo State holding exclusive jurisdiction.
